Introduction
The Colorado Rural Healthcare Workforce Initiative is a program funded by the Colorado legislature to support the training and placement of healthcare workers for and in rural communities in Colorado. CORHWI, we, and us, within this document, refer to the Colorado Rural Healthcare Workforce. Our website address is: https://corhwi.org.

Policy application
This privacy policy applies when you visit and interact with the pages of our website, when you register with us, and when you participate in any of our modules, in part or in full.
If you do not want us to collect data about your visits, you may not want to use our site.
Information we collect
We collect the following kinds of information:
- Information you provide us directly through registration, support requests, and surveys. This includes:
- username, password, email address, first and last name, affiliated institution, and role at that institution.
- if you are a student, we collect additional personal information related to previous work experience for yourself and your parent/guardian, personal preferences and views about living and working in a rural community, and your student ID for your institution.
- module progress and quiz results.
- communications between you and CORHWI (e.g., survey responses, reset password, and support requests)
- Automatically Collected Information
- information related to actions taken on corhwi.org (e.g., IP address, browser and browser version you are using).
When you register with CORHWI, you create an account, and we collect personal data based on what kind of account you create.
Why we collect this information
We collect information for the following reasons:
- to better identify candidates for future rural healthcare positions.
- monitor and appraise the success of the CORHWI program.
- to improve modules.
- to report to the Colorado legislature as prescribed by law.
- to notify users of module completion statuses.
- to respond to your requests, inquiries, comments, and concerns.
Your privacy is important to us, and we take steps to keep your personal information confidential and safe from unauthorized persons. During analysis, your information is de-identified.
Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Embedded content from other websites
This site includes embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from other websites. Embedded content behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with
We share your information with the University of Colorado Farley Center for data analysis, the Colorado Legislature for program monitoring and reporting purposes, and with our institutional partners for educational and module improvement opportunities.
How we protect your data
We have in place reasonable policies and protections to keep all collected data from unauthorized actors and from being misused. While we cannot guarantee 100% protection from nefarious agents, we follow industry standards to protect your information both during transmission and upon receipt.
How long we retain your data
All information is retained indefinitely.
Communications with CORHWI
Mailing Policy – we will send you emails when you: 1) register with us; 2) complete a module; 3) submit a Support request; and 4) request a password reset.
If you are/were a student, we will send you an annual survey request for a number of years depending upon your program of study. We will not send any other unsolicited emails.
Children under the age of 13
Our website is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not provide any information on this Website (COPPA statement).
Future privacy policy changes
It may be necessary for us to revise our privacy policy from time to time as changes in functionality and content occur to corhwi.org. All changes will be published to the site’s Privacy Policy link.
