When people think of rural roadways the image that comes to mind is often very picturesque. The reality is that there are a number of behavioral, environmental, and healthcare related factors that make rural roads more dangerous. Drivers may be unfamiliar with rural roads, and often they have a false sense of security which can result in motor vehicle crashes. This module will focus on common causes of motor vehicle crashes in the rural environment and what we can do to prevent these crashes moving forward.
